Talking Our Walk
From the Editors

The focus of our June/July issue is on men & fathers, creative passion and prosperity. Be certain to uncover The Hidden Spirituality of Men, by Mathew Fox. Marci Shimoff encourages us on How to Stay Up When the Economy is Down. And we have imported a news article from the Toronto Star, in which a Toronto judge issued a “wake-up call” to parents who are hell-bent on using their children to “punish” their former partners. To the uninitiated this sounds implausible. But, to these children, the harm inflicted upon them is painfully real – and completely avoidable. This happens far more often than you’d ever want to believe.

Continuing through the first week of May, we had endured seemingly endless, cold, wet weather. The daily deluge of negative economic reports has attempted to further dampen our collective spirits. But Ahhh, Summer is Finally here. Time to finally kick back, breathe deeply, and take a break from your money worries. Let this be your opportunity to enjoy some time for yourself. Get outdoors and rediscover the simple joys of peace and quiet that nearby Nature can provide. Simplify. Go slower and do less. You can access the antidote to busyness by reading Doing Less… and Accomplishing More of What Really Matters, in our May email newsletter, Inspired Creations, at www.creationsmagazine.com.

On April 25th, Creations Magazine sponsored a Psychic & Holistic Living Fair at Gurney’s Inn & Resort Spa in Montauk, NY. With the fortuitous timing of some wonderful Spring weather, the day far exceeded all expectations. Gurney’s was fully booked and hundreds more day visitors made the trip to Long Island’s “End.” A high-energy buzz enveloped the room from the outset and all of the Psychics/ Tarot readers were “channeling” right up until literally, the last minute and beyond.

Before the morning was out, we were already planning our next Fair. However, most of the credit for the show’s success goes to Gurney’s Inn Event Director, Phyllis Lomitola and her staff. We couldn’t be more pleased to be partnered with the folks at Gurney’s, in what now will be an annual event. We also deeply appreciate the participation of all the vendors and readers who not only provided the exhibits, but who also “exhibited” great faith in us that the show would be a worthwhile investment of their time and money. And of course, many thanks to all the folks who made the trek “out east” to attend the Fair.

In Peace & Gratitude,
