Magnolia
by Katherine Gage Larchmont, NY
Tender tree, lavish with buds,
Trembling sweet exultation,
Rising from the simple seed
Of ecstatic imagination.
Witness here the fruition
Of joy and sorrows embrace.
Found amid such abundance-
One white flower of singular grace.
Vision in glorious bloom,
Revel in loves resplendence.
To bud, blossom and fade, so
Resonates the eternal essence.
Thunder
Poem

My feet secure on the ground;
thunder crashing in waves in the sky.
May the anger in my heart
be followed by the rain of compassion.

Rushing to the surface
of my dream
I passed you
too quickly
to wave
